Finding Calmness in the midst of Craziness

Soo, just finished writing my final, brain is fried.

A committee meeting in 10 minutes, a midterm in 18 hours and a project due in 30 hours. Things have been nuts, but finding calmness on the way to school.... small victories here and there.

So I wanted to ask everyone... how many of us can still sing praises while things are tough? When the things that we're encountering seem soooo.... dependent on the things of this world? When it's about things like... academics? Which are sooo dependent on studying, notes, etc?

How many of us can still sing praises when the going is tough and the keys to success seem soo... worldly? And not on God?

such a valid question.

For me, it is always so absolutely difficult to thread things back to God that seem completely dependent on worldly factors... if you think about it.. 95% of our worries are likely to be based apparently solely on worldy factors.... this is an enormous stumbling block for me.

I sometimes wonder if there are people who no longer struggle with this, and if they exist, what do they know that I dont?

for sure. when you're writing a paper or doing an assignment, how often do we think about God or rely on him? Or even thank him for the opportunity to be in school! or be thankful for everything that we have. Instead its always just working on our own power to get things done. Those times of desperation where we do ask for God's help out of desperation? dunno.

just some stuff that came up. when i should be doing an assignment. im off!
